Stewart Vickers / About

About

He moved to London for the art and the clothes, and has been arranging the rest of his life around them ever since. The search agency pays for it. It also turned out to be the thing he was best at.

Portrait of Stewart Vickers

Beginnings

He came to London to read History of Art at University College London. Alongside it he ran a menswear blog, which is where he learned search: not as a discipline but as the thing that decided whether anyone read him. Both halves of his working life start in that one sentence, and neither has gone away since.

The half that came first

The menswear was never a phase he grew out of. He is one of the group The Chap calls Grand Flaneurs, who meet once a year at Beau Brummell's statue in Jermyn Street and walk, with great deliberation, nowhere. He sits for photographers working in wet-plate collodion, a process abandoned in the 1880s, and for portrait series that end up on gallery walls in Fitzrovia. He appears in They Are Dandy, out from gestalten in October 2026.

He has also spent a decade in other people's frames: Channel 5 reconstructions, a McCain advertising campaign, and music videos for The Darkness, Skindred and Green Lung. Some of that was booked. Most of it happened because he was in the room wearing the wrong clothes. The full record is here, with the credits and the sources, and with the distinctions intact.

He lives in London and works from wherever the conference calendar has put him, which in recent years has meant Shenzhen, Tallinn, Vilnius, Las Vegas, Saigon, Bangkok, Zakopane, Lisbon and Bali.

And the business

His first job was writing viral content at a digital journalism startup alongside CBS and NewsCorp alumni. As Director of Marketing at an insurance startup he turned a £10,000 monthly spend into £50,000 a month of organic revenue, which brought him to the marketing team at Aston Lark shortly before its £1 billion acquisition by Howden. Alongside that he built and sold a shaving publication, which brought his first consulting clients.

He founded SEO Jesus in London in 2022 and still runs it. He published The Power Lever Method in 2023 and YouTube Millionaire Mastery in 2024, and in September 2026 co-authored KGMID SEO (Omnipressent) with nine other search practitioners. He was voted Best SEO Speaker at The Affiliate Gathering 2024 and has spoken at 14 conferences in 10 countries since 2022, with 3 more booked.
